A recent study by Which? has shown that Vision Express has fared well against other Opticians when it comes to optical care.
The study showed positive results for Vision Express with ‘good’ and ‘OK’ reviews, and no negative feedback. Despite the absence of negative scores, Vision Express is taking steps to improve its service.
Vision Express Head of Professional Services Phil Hyde said: “Vision Express prides itself on providing excellent individual optical care. We tailor our eye tests to the individual and invest significantly in our people, our stores and our equipment to demonstrate our commitment to the eye health of our customers.
“We are pleased that Vision Express received only positive scores in the Which? survey, and will be using the overall findings internally to ensure our Optometrists are aware of the feedback, as well as to help with our own mystery shopping research where we check the quality of eye tests and overall service on an ongoing basis.
“As a result of the survey, although we did not receive any negative ratings, we will be launching a further, extensive customer feedback process including a survey to build on our optical service, ensuring we maintain and update our standards across the whole 330 store chain.”
In addition to this, at the beginning of September Vision Express will be launching a series of eye health leaflets providing advice and guidance in relation to various eye health conditions including dry eye, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
The leaflets will be used by Vision Express Optometrists to assist in explaining the conditions to patients, as well as providing information that they can take away with them. The leaflets are being introduced to ensure patients leave Vision Express equipped with knowledge of their condition and the treatments available to them.
