Menopause and eye health

Once women reach their 40’s, menopause can affect their health in several ways. It can affect you mentally and physically, including your eye health. Fluctuating hormone levels can cause the shape of your eye to change slightly, as well as other eye conditions like dry eyes, cataracts and glaucoma.

For National Eye Health Week, we’re teaming up with Radio DJ Jo Whiley to raise awareness around menopause and eye health. If you think menopause have affected your eye health, you can come in store for an eye test. Having regular eye tests helps us to detect eye conditions early, whether these are caused by menopause or ageing. This helps us treat them early and and prevent symptoms from worsening.
